Chris Champlin is the Owner and Qualified Manager of Champlin Investigations. Before entering the private sector, Chris was a decorated Deputy Sheriff and Police Officer in Northern California. He also served on active duty with the United States Marine Corps Fleet Anti-Terrorism Security Teams and in the U.S. Army Reserves as a Combat Engineer following 9/11, earning an Honorable Discharge from both branches. Since 2005, Chris has worked as an SIU Director for a national private investigations firm, surveillance supervisor, fraud investigator, and California licensed insurance broker. Prior to forming Champlin Investigations, Chris was the Founder & CEO of the C&W Group, a nationwide background investigations corporation. Chris brings more than twenty years of industry experience and frequently supports fellow professionals through continuing education and speaking at industry conferences. Chris holds a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice with an emphasis in Public Administration from Pacific Union College.

Ashton Wolfson

Ashton Wolfson serves as Senior Strategic Advisor to Champlin Investigations, analyzing specific operational hurdles and implementing targeted changes. Ashton focuses heavily on big-picture goals, market positioning, and long-term scaling. Ashton was formerly Chief Operations Officer and Co-Founder of the C&W Group, a nationwide background investigation corporation. He was also Chief Executive Officer of Tukko Med, a med-legal service provider managing Qualified Medical Examiners (QMEs) in Northern California for the state's workers' compensation industry for over 20 years. Ashton is a serial entrepreneur with extensive experience managing business process outsourcing projects in Southeast Asia, where he is recognized as a thought leader. Prior to his entrepreneurial ventures, he spent many years in the investment industry as a commodity futures trader and foreign exchange currency advisor. He studied International Relations with a minor in European Studies and Languages at Franklin University in Lugano, Switzerland.

Martin has over fifteen years of experience in background investigations and social media intelligence. His expertise includes analyzing public records, digital sources, and social media data using advanced investigative tools. He also has a strong track record of managing remote teams and delivering thorough, accurate investigative reports for clients. He brings a highly detail-oriented and analytical approach to Champlin, ensuring dependable and efficient results. Martin holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a major in Management from Ateneo de Naga University in Naga City, Camarines Sur, Philippines.

Chris Daniels

Chris Daniels serves as Champlin Investigations Field Supervisor and Video Editor. In this role, he oversees our dedicated field investigative staff and creates secure video evidence for presentations in both civil and criminal court venues. Prior to joining Champlin, Chris served honorably in the United States Army. His service includes working with NATO while deployed to Bosnia along the Zone of Separation (ZOS), as well as serving with the United Nations in Macedonia as the Commander of OP55, overlooking Kosovo. Additionally, he has held a private investigator's license in the State of Nevada and was a licensed security guard with the State of California Bureau of Security and Investigative Services.

Ron Adams

Ron Adams of Husky Intelligence Specialties serves as Champlin Investigations' Internet Security Manager. Ron brings 30 years of telecommunications experience to Champlin, including securing USDA facilities along the East Coast with access-control and video-surveillance systems. His background also includes deploying wireless broadband and installing and upgrading microwave data systems across California, Nevada, and Utah for AT&T's cellular network. Through Husky Intelligence Specialties, Ron supports Champlin with technical insight, professional documentation, content development, brand awareness, and essential back-office services. His combination of security-system knowledge, complex infrastructure experience, and clear communication helps the firm organize case information, assess security needs, and maintain a credible, professional presence for clients and partners.
